Using Dry Ice in a Fun Way

1 pound of dry ice nuggets will last for 5 to 10 minutes in hot / warm water
The warmer the water, the greater the effect — the ice will also dissipate faster
A 2-pound block will last for over 10 minutes in hot / warm water
Use a Crock-Pot to keep the water warm, so that the effect lasts longer

The Fog Effect

Fill half of a metal or plastic container with hot water. Then add a few pieces of dry ice to the hot water. Do so every 10 to 15 minutes. It may be necessary to start with a new pot of water once the water cools down. For best results, use an electric crock pot or roaster to keep the water hot for a longer duration.

The Witches Brew

Place a few small pieces (pellets) of dry ice in a sandwich bag or any other sealed bag. Punch a few holes in the bag. You can also use cheese cloth. Add a punch bowl or crock pot to warm cider, making sure that the dry ice is not mistaken for an ordinary ice cube. Once the punch cools, you may need to start over, to maintain the effect.
